It is not the primary objective of Animal Welfare Dahab to find homes in Europe or elsewhere for the stray animals of Dahab. Instead, we believe it is best to create a stable population of strays by neutering them in order to prevent the poison-actions to control the population like it was custom before the existence of Animal Welfare Dahab. We also provide education to local inhabitants and tourists to establish an animal friendly attitude of people towards animals, and strays in particular.
That doesn’t mean that we don’t offer animals for adoption now and then, or help people who would love to adopt a stray from Dahab: we are happy with every stray that has been adopted. However, since Animal Welfare Dahab doesn’t have a shelter, the animals we would like to see being adopted are strays that have very little chance to survive on the streets because of a physical handicap.
